Our prompt photo for this week is graciously loaned to us by Ellespeth’s friend. Thank you!

The boys were having fun. After all, it was their annual school trip. And one of the 8 member gang had a brainwave.

“Enough of selfies – let’s take a proper picture. You know, the old fashioned way”

And they handed the camera to a local selling knick-knacks. And they went on to pose.

It was only later when they went through the pictures did they realise that they had been snitched.

Of storage space.

There was only one picture of them. The rest were selfies – of the local.

  1. Loved the twist at the end! I can just picture the locals taking selfies with the camera. Haha! Welcome to Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers! We are pleased you have joined us and hope you enjoy your experience and continue joining us each week. 🙂

  2. Yay! You’re back (albeit after a month!). And nice little story with that twist! Good to see you participating in FFfAW too!

P.S. Your old photo tricked me into believing that you look quite different from what I see in the current one.

    1. Yeah. Had some work to be done, which distracted me from my blog. Now that I’ve FFfAW – I’ll be more regular.

Haha. Don’t believe this one too then. It all depends upon the photographer to show their subjects in a better light.

      Pun intended.

  3. Amusing twist! That local must have quite a sense of humour to fill up someone else’s camera with pictures of them-self – or maybe they just really want to be remembered! Good story. 🙂
