They had been fighting ever since one had entered the other’s realm. It wasn’t that neither could live while the other would survive. They could coexist but they wouldn’t.
Both of them tried to outlive each other but as with all bouts, might was right, and the weaker one started to lose. The defeat was extraordinary – each scar of the defeat stood for the world to see.
The war between Time and Architecture still rages on. The constituent of nature won, just as always, against the creation of man. And as always, man always lost; and carried on Fighting A Losing Battle
Ever since the fort was built, the rampage of time had begun.
They could exist without damaging each other, but they didn’t.
Mighty Time stood strong and bit the fort, bit by bit.
And then there would be no fort to see
A pretty ordinary defeat indeed.

That is really awesome and captivating. Who would have thought of time and architecture as enemies. Love the way you personified them. Great writing, Karthi!

Thank you Calen 😀 Really love it that you loved it. I really love metaphors and personifications in poetry… Think that showed out.

Unique, and true, architecture doesn’t stand a chance against time! Well done.

Thanks. Two elements stand the test of time.
1. Our imagination – in the form of poetry, stories, fables etc.
and 2. The internet – the internet is forever.

Well, in short of repeating what others have already said, I thought this was great! You have a wild imagination, that’s for sure!

Haha. Thaks Uday.
Very wild indeed. Often I end up imagining scenarios that have a -13% chance of occurring in real life 😉
