They all were born from the fruits of the same seed
yet separated accused of being different breeds.
One grew on the best of everything
safe from harm caused by anything.
The other grew on the toughest of conditions
learning to live in the way of the worldly creations.
It was a surprise for all those who
watched the growth of the two.
When they saw the first flowers of Spring
had come from the ones with the world’s training.
The flowers bloomed wildly on the plant outside of the fence
while for those on the inside, they were absent in attendance.
That is the way in life – only those who live outside the box
they are the ones who live out of the orthodox
it is the light in their successes never go “Nox*”.

*Nox – an allusion to Harry Potter. The Wand-Extinguishing Charm (Nox) is a spell causes the light at the end of the caster’s wand to be extinguished. The counter-charm for the Wand-Lighting Charm (Lumos)

Wonderful poem! Apparently the sunflowers that were not protected were the ones that grew and blossomed! The flowers that had the best of everything didn’t flourish.

Ok I adore this!! The poem flows smoothly, and you told a great story with the lines. And then the Harry Potter nod at the end there! Great job 🙂
